Turning off ARP in ifcfg scripts?

I know I can turn off arp with the -arp flag doing an ifconfig, but is there a way to turn it off in the ifcfg scripts? This would be for one interface, not everything.

The details are that I need to ifconfig the loopback to work with some load balancers (give the loopback a virtual IP so it can respond to clients directly), but I don't want the loopback responding to ARPs which would confuse the loadbalncer hardware.

Thanks.
