I personally love qmail, no reason you couldn't configure qmail/vpopmail for intranet service. But im sure just about any mail server program can do the job well for you.

Well the same problem I had in my office too. I tried the Bynari's Insight Server. It is commercial but in very low price and great support as well.

Check it in http://www.bynari.net

setting up mail server

Hello Everybody,

I want to setup mail server in our office. We have internet mail server with 25 MB size. But as I want to increase the size of it I am planning to put up server in office only. I have broadband line with static IP and Red Hat 9.0 Linux installed.

I want to sync the Internet server with my office server so that people in office get access to it lon local LAN for both incoming and outgoing.

Please let me know how to setup this. Thanks In advance.

sarfaraz_ic,

it seems you are trying to share ur internet with other LAN client. you will require to step squid and IP FWD,MASQ. to share internet. why squid bec'z it will store cache and cookies and give much faster NET.

i would suggest your visit the following link about squid. http://www.squid-cache.org/

there is some good post in the same site (linuxquestions.org) just search with internet sharing keyword. you will get some good help.

more questions, post it again
