Telnet Troubles

My telnet server was working properly until the other day when I was setting up my HTTP server. I'm don't know what went wrong because i made no changes to the config files. When i start telnetd i get an error that says

telnetd: getpeername: Socket Operation on non-socket

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your /etc/inetd.conf or /etc/xinetd.conf files see if you have the telnet service propperly configure.

service telnet
{
flags = REUSE
socket_type = stream
wait = no
user = root
server = /usr/sbin/in.telnetd
log_on_failure += USERID
}
