Can somebody set up a quick tutorial or show me a site where i can find one about how I can access my computer from somebody elses computer through telnet? Or if that is not possible can somebody plaease tell me how I can do that?

I am very new with all this server and networking stuff.

you probably want to use ssh.

1. Setup a ssh server (very easy in most distributions).
2. Setup a client (trivial in most distributions; it most probably is there already)
2. ssh into the server from client.

Don't use telnet for remote access! Telnet is not an encrypted protocol and anyone will be able to see your username and password as they go across the network. Like ToniT said, you should use SSH for this.
