sweex lw051 WPA

Hi,

I am trying to set up a wireless card for a friend. It is a sweex lw051 wireless mini pci card for laptop. I have been playing around with it for a couple of days now and I just can't seem to get it to work with WPA. I have set a couple of cards up before on linux and none were straight forward. I have wpa_supplicant working on one card so I am sure that is correct. One card that I set up had two interfaces in ifconfig, and didn't work, then somehow removing and inserting the driver, and turning my back and one dissapeared and it worked - but I don't know how. All cards have been a different chipset.

I googled and found the chipset is atheros, so that is the mad-wifi driver. I am on debian so it wasn't too hard to find a how to and apt-get everything that was needed. The card seems to be working, although I am not sure properly. I am using wpa_supplicant to connect to the router. I have setup wpa_supplicant.conf, and started wpa_supplicant with

Code:
wpa_supplicant -i ath0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
By the way

Code:
# uname -a

Linux brick 2.6.18-6-686 #1 SMP Sun Feb 10 22:11:31 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

David Collins
