Supplying Static IP with Linksys Router

Hi

I have a Linksys router, but I do not want the ip-adresses to change when the release runs out. I want the clients to have the same adress every time they log on, like it can be done in dhpcd on account of the clients mac adresses.

Can it be done ?

First of all, in my experience (I have a Linksys BEFSR41W) the IP address a certain network card gets is always the same. None of my machines ever change IP.

But the fact that the Linksys provides DHCP services doesn't mean you have to use them. You can either disable the DHCP service in the Linksys setup or keep it running and still have one or two computers using static addresses.
