I have a query , i am using SQUId Proxy in fedora14. As normal pratice blocked some site and its working excellently, but problem is the site which are allowed in proxy , they working fine with Internet Explorer & Chrome Browser , but Mozila does not recognized site allowed in procxy and starts showing error..
"The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://abc/
Unable to determine IP address from host name "wow"
The DNS server returned:
Name Error: The domain name does not exist.
This means that the cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL. Check if the address is correct.
I've asked for your thread to be moved, however the title then would be poor. I do realize you were saying Hello, and once again, welcome.
However the question part may be largely missed by many members. Only those who go looking for new member introductions will see that question. I, myself, cannot answer it.
To have it get more exposure, it should be in a technical threat where the notice of the thread is found by others when they are searching for technical questions requiring assistance.
Hopefully a moderator will act on this and move it. I do not recommend re-posting because that will be a duplicate and that will cause more trouble than taking the time to wait. You are also welcome to request a moderator move the thread by using the report button.
