SNMP and Whatsup Gold

Hi.

I am trying to set up monitoring of a redhat server with snmp.

snmpd and snmpd are confiugred and running on the server. I can interrogate the server with Whatsup Gold and get system info, location contact etc. But I don't recieve the traps i set up.

I hear that I need to configure the MIB files for redhat on the windoze machine running Whatsup. Are these the mibxxx.txt files on the redhat box? If so, how do i get Whatsup to recognise them? The ipswitch site doesn't want to know about linux.

Am I doing this the right way?

thanx

karl
