hi,

i'm a newb when it comes to linux.. i searched for a long time to a apropriat howto for SMTP server & pop3..

my question is...
how do i configure SMTP & POP3 server correctly to my needs...

i got postfix installed (not configured because i don't know how)
i got cyrus IMAP: Administration utils, server (IMAP, POP3)
Squirrelmail web based email
and spamassasin

all are fresh installed from the Fedora Core 3 CD
i need configure instructions (specific)

what i need configured in them:

3 domains: compnetix.com, compnetix.net, compnetix.nl

the mail server (smtp, pop3) Correspond on mail.compnetix.(nl/.com/.net)

SMTP server needs to have a security mesure.
on my old mail server i had a setting which only handled mail if it goes to or came from a account on the mail server... if that isn't possable i need a authoresation.

SMTP server (after the security mesure) needs to relay (if i remember correct thats the word for sending the mail trough a other smtp server) to smtp.speedxs.nl

i also need a option to add the same user on a diferent domain...

Example:
contact@compnetix.nl
contact@compnetix.com
contact@compnetix.net

this shouldn't be the same account, or my emails will screw up..

Can anybody help me with configuring my fedora core?
i really need your help
(i need to know how to configure it and what i need to put in to.. because i'm searching for 3 days now.. didn't find a result... did try several tutorials...didn't do much good to my server.. that's why the fresh install...)

PS: my linux doesn't know the java command... (but i did instal JRE.. how come?)
but i'm willing to use any mail program as long as it is free, and doesn't advertise on my emails sent or diliverd...
