slow samba server

hai ,is there any way to increase the speed of samba . when i am browsing my LAN, its too slow.

I think you need to clarify the question a bit. You start by asking about a server, then say the speed issue is when you are browsing the LAN. So is the Samba machine a dedicated server, or are you also using it as a client?

Or are you trying to browse shares on a Samba server from a Windows client?
