Wink Slackware FQDN isn't recognized by apache

I'm having a problem getting apache to recognize my fully qualified domain name. I'm SSHing in remotely.

When I try to start apache, I get this message:
Code:
# apachectl start
httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
But hostname shows all the right info:
Code:
# hostname
angst
# hostname -f
angst.mydomain.net
# hostname -d
mydomain.net
/etc/hosts seems to have all the right info too:
Code:
# more /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 angst.mydomain.net angst
Am I missing something here?

Dynamic IP...

So how do I do it if I'm using DSL with a dynamic IP?

(thanks for your help by the way!)

So this is a solo machine plugged directly into the internet then? If that is the case, you will need to adjust the ip to match your external IP address or valid domain name.

If you are behind a switch and router then assign a static private internal IP and use that.

Edit:
When messing with /etc/hosts make sure not to remove the line
127.0.0.1 localhost

Just add your changes below that line.
