Setting up a NAT/ Packet filter setup on ADSL router

Well.. this is not completely a Linux question. But, after going through the contents of the forums I thought this is the place I should ask this question:

I need to setup a ADSL router (Buffalo WBR-G54) to PPPoE a network of about 10 linux and 5 windows machines. This question is regarding the firewall setup.

I want to have a decent NAT, and packet filter setup so that my network is secure. Since the interface of the router is web based, what I need is only the basic information (no need to know the linux firewall commands etc.)

However, I need to find answers to questions like: a) What incoming/outgoing ports should be blocked b) What would be a reasonable setup of a NAT table ? can somebody help me to find some resources on this (e.g. web sites).

I wrote this mail after spending hours on google and several books on Linux Sysadmin.

Thanks in advance.

Basically don't allow anything in unless you want to provide services/receive connections from the WAN.
