Server is not connecting

Hii

I installed linux on 3 machines. On 2 machines i installed Fedora12 with apache, mysql and php and h/w configurations of those machines is: Intel Core2Duo, 2GB RAM and 160GB HDD. On third machine i installed CentOS 5.5 64-bit with apache, mysql and php of 64-bit. The h/w configuration is: HP ProLiant ML 350G6 Server with Intel Xeon processor, 8GB RAM and 2 TB HDD.

Our LAN IP is starting with a series of 192.168.1. I provided IP series of 192.168.0. to all the 3 machines. The problem is 2 machines on which Fedora12 is installed was connecting and pinging successfully within the network but the HP server on which CentOS5.5 is installed is not connecting/pinging.

I disabled firewall, Selinux, Flush iptables but whenever i tried to ping a series of 192.168.1. from HP server it returns an error "Network not reachable".

If i run the same HP server with a series 192.168.1. then it works smoothly.

Please suggest what to do to connect HP server within the LAN with IP series of 192.168.0.

Thanks

I don't know what you mean by IP series. Are you referring to the network address?

What does ifconfig show for your interfaces? Are the NIC devices working? Do they have unique address on the 192.168.1.0 network? How does the routing table look?

You need to go though a gateway device to connect to a device on 192.168.1.0/24 when you are on a 192.168.0.0/24 network or perhaps have 2 nic devices, one on each network.

Another option is to have the CentOS machine on the 192.168.1.0/24 network, if it is serving the two clients there. Perhaps you could supply more information, such as if the CentOS machine is in a DMZ and also has access from the internet via a NAT router.

Can you provide the IP addresses of your 3 machines and its respective gateways?
