Question sequring the squid cache


using squid

red hat linux installed on one hard disk but squid 'ufs' partiotn is insatlled another hard disk ... due to some reasons linux is correpted now install the new linux . so if i link squid to the old cache harddisk it will work ?
mean if i do
cache_dir ufs 2nd harddisk
with out creating 'squid -z'
will my new squid work with old cache


2nd question -----is


idea is better ' linux installed on different partition with squid and squid cache is installed another harddisk'


3rd question

which squid partiotion is best for cahe . i am using 'UFS'
