clean up squid cache
hey guys,
i had to start squid with a clean cache and i did this by
squid -k shutdown
echo "" > /var/spool/squid/swap.state
squid start
what i want to know is what should i do with the files and directories in /var/spool/squid/00 thru 0F directories , i meant the files in those
00 01 02... 0C 0D 0E ..folders,
is it advisable to delete those files .have i really cleared the cache by the above procedure?

If you are using squid you want it to cache files.
Thats the main purpose of it unless you are using it to filter something, or regulate access.

It should not hurt to remove the files, but they are rotated automatically
