I've got a RH9.0 machine running samba on my company's lan. I can do everything I need to from this machine on the local network without any trouble.
We also have a VPN and when I try to mount a shared drive on the vpn I get the message:
4773: session request to X failed (Called name not present)
Sometimes the mount will stop, meaning I have to drop a Ctrl+c to fix it, and sometimes it just flashes the message and finishes everything up. What's strange is that mount works just fine. I can read/write and delete files on the mounted drives with no trouble.
However, I'd like to mount a few of them on boot, and I can't do this as long as that message pops up (it freezes the boot).
