SAMBA very slow

Hi!

Copy To or From my SAMBA server is very slow.
If the file is small (~max 30 MB) there is no problem - copying takes some 5-10 sec.
If the file is big (some 500 MB) or there is many files I want to copy, then copying takes very very long time and is very slow, in addition first seconds of copying are normal - quick, but after these ~ 10 sec. copying becomes terribly slow.
So what could be the reason, may be I should add something in my samba config file?!

Here`s my smb.conf

Code:
# === GLOBAL ===
[global]
 workgroup = sambaserv
 security = user hosts allow = 192.168.10.
 socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
 read size = 16384
 log level = 2
 read raw = no
 write raw = no

# Autorization
 encrypt passwords = yes
 smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd

# Server Name
 server string = EkstraCom Filer

# === SHARES parametri ===
# Privat
[edmunds]
 path = /home/ekstracom/edmunds
 read only = no

[edgars]
 path = /home/ekstracom/edgars
 read only = no

# Public
[public]
 path = /home/ekstracom/public
 read only = no
 force directory mode = 777
 force create mode = 777

[projekti]
 path = /home/ekstracom/projekti
 read only = no
 force directory mode = 0775
P.S. I`m running SAMBA on Slackware 10.2

i using slackware also for samba server

this my share folder

[Rou]
comment = Rou's Service
path = /home/rou
valid users = rou
public = no
writable = yes
printable = no

not setting any mask btw if u think this is because of software then can u remove totally that samba then reinstall it from latest tgz file samba with command

/sbin/installpkg sambafile.tgz

and edit back just one folder for testing
