Samba printing problem

Have set up samba on a FC5 box and have 2 winXP boxes on the network.
Can access the winxp boxes from the FC5 to read files, can also access the FC5 from winXP to read files. What I can't do is print from the winXP boxes to the printer connected to the FC5 box. smbd is running and here is my testparm
Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
Processing section "[homes]"
Processing section "[printers]"
Processing section "[Documents OK]"
Processing section "[Canon]"
Loaded services file OK.
WARNING: passdb expand explicit = yes is deprecated
Invalid combination of parameters for service Canon. Level II oplocks can only be set if oplocks are also set.
Server role: ROLE_STANDALONE
Press enter to see a dump of your service definitions

Below is my samba.conf

[global]
workgroup = BUTTLING
server string = BUTTLING
security = SHARE
encrypt passwords = No
guest account = bill
log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
max log size = 50
server signing = auto
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_SNDBUF=8192 SO_RCVBUF=8192
printcap name = /etc/printcap
preferred master = No
domain master = No
dns proxy = No
ldap ssl = no
guest ok = Yes
cups options = raw

[homes]
comment = Home Directories
read only = No
browseable = No

[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
printable = Yes
browseable = No

[Documents OK]
path = /home/bill/Data/Documents OK
valid users = bill
[Canon]
comment = Canon
path = /var/spool/samba
read only = No
printable = Yes
printer name = Canon
oplocks = No
share modes = No

I dont understand much about samba and would like some help from all you experts - I hope it is something real simple !

Thanks

use cups with IPP. There are alot of howto's on the internet. Samba printing sucks. XP and linux both fully support IPP printing and its simple to setup and I think printing is much faster.

I have looked at this ,thanks and have tried set up as suggested in various places and still nothing. Still access denied.

Bored with this crap !Why is life with computers so time wasting. There has to be better things to do, like watching paint dry!

I wish I wasn't so stupid.

linky

linky2

gentoo docs are very useful. You will have to modify somethings to your specific distro, but this should get it up and going.

Without the browseable parameter set to Yes, you will not be able to view the printer on your PC. Have you tried to mount it explicitly like \\linuxsambaserver\canon ?
