Samba PDC version 3.0
Hi all
A couple of questions here on samba pdc
1. Is there a way to restrict the clients from using local password files for ftp, telnet, and ssh. In other words all the passwords should be pulled from the server.
2. Next is there a way to prevent null logins in samba. Right now
in my smb.conf file I have null logins = no.
Are the null logins coming from the local machine or the server.
3. What is a good system logging utility that will pull all the log
files from the clients and store them on the server
Right now this is a mixed environment of RH 6.2, 7.3, winxp pro
They all login to the PDC. All the accounts are stored and
created on the server. I am using pam modules to take care of the security issues. There isn't an outside connection and there won't be
an outside connection. So using pam modules is sufficient. All the clients have joined the domain and are able to transfer files back and
forth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
/etc/pam.d/samba
----------------------------------------------------------------------
auth required /lib/security/pam_winbind.so
account required /lib/security/pam_winbind.so
session required /lib/security/pam_mkhomedir.so skel=/home/%u umask=0022

Thanks in advance
