Samba mount problems
Hey all!
This is my very first post here, I'm a complete newbie to Linux. I've looked through much of the threads already here, but I can't find any that help me with this particular problem, so I hope someone can give me an answer.
Here's my problem: I have a Windows 2000 Pro domain controller, with shares. It's domain name is SUN. In etc/hosts SUN is listed with the correct IP. Now, I want to mount my own personal files which are located there (in the shared folder User_data) on my own laptop (which is running Linux) so in the terminal is do this:
sudo mount -t smbfs //SUN/User_data /mnt/SUN/ -o username=lexdv,password=blah
and this is what the computer tells me:
session setup failed: ERRSRV - 2240
SMB connection failed
When I type smb://SUN/User_data in Nautilus it does connect to SUN, and I can browse the files there. So I don't understand this.
I've tried a lot of things.... I hope someone can help me.
Thanks,
Lex
