Read many docs and many postings, but cannot see my Samba server from a 2000 Server (stand alone) acting as a client. My smb.conf file is:
# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1)
# Date: 2002/01/27 13:45:38
# Global parameters
[global]

if I do a smbclient -L keir I get:
[root@keir keir]# smbclient -L keir
added interface ip=192.168.0.150 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0

- Where is the workgroup MDKGROUP coming from? I took that out of my smb.conf file?
- Why doesn't 'data' show up as a Sharename?
- Why isn't Samba server 'KEIR" visible from the 2000 m/c 'ROBYN'? The 2000 m/c is definately in the workgroup 'WORDGROUP'.
