Samba: can't connect to my local linux machine but can connect to windows.

Ok so I think I have samba configured correctly, but when I try to connect to my local linux machine I get this:
Code:
mike@mike:~$ smbclient -L mike
Password:
session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
I can connect fine to my Windows XP computer. I know there isn't much information here, so if more info is needed just tell me and I will put it here. Thanks in advance for your help.

did you setup an smb passwd for mike
smbpasswd mike

http://www.samba.netfirms.com/index.htm

probably more secure anyways if you setup a seprete user just for smb login

as superuser
useradd -d /home/sambauser -s /bin/false -n sambauser
passwd sambauser
smbpasswd -a sambauser

then configure samba to use that user for your shared folder

I followed your instructions for setting up a samba password and that didn't work. Still get the same error.

Just press the enter key without typing in a password.

See man pages smbclient for details or www.samba.org for documentation.
