Running dual proxy server in a Windows NT Environment
Hi Linux Experts. Another noob here that needs your expertise. Our company is currently running a proxy server (Windows NT) but since traffic is so heavy, I installed a Redhat Linux 9 box to be a second proxy server. After reading so many how-to's, doc, manuals, and browsing message boards, I still can't figure out why I can't share the internet connection of the Linux box to it's clients eventhough Linuxbox can connect to the internet with no hassle. Linuxbox and clients can ping each other vise versa with no problems.
Our set up is like this:
Linuxbox
eth1 = connected to the isp
eth0 = connected to the private network ip=10.10.1.199/255.255.0.0
clients (Windows 2000, Windows 98)
eth0 = have static ip adresses that varies between floors but have the same subnet which is 255.255.0.0 and a gateway of 10.10.1.199 (Linuxbox)
e.g. 1st floor = 10.10.1.1/255.255.0.0, second floor 10.10.2.1/255.255.0.0
here is my iptable -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
Chain RH-Lokkit-0-50-INPUT (0 references)
target prot opt source destination
ACCEPT udp -- dns2.pldt-tele.com anywhere udp spt:domain dpts:1025:65535
ACCEPT udp -- dns1.pldt-tele.com anywhere udp spt:domain dpts:1025:65535
I hope you guys can help me...
Thank you very much
