ssh/scp via a windows proxy server


I want to know how can I ssh/scp from one linux server to another linux server when there is a windows 2000 proxy is running in between my two linux boxes.

The Win proxy server shouldn't interrupt the ssh/scp traffic on port 22.
If it is, it's very badly setup.

Can you ask to admin to see if the port is blocked, proxy is for web browsing mainly, sometimes for ftp.

It sounds like it might be firewalled.

Also when you say proxy server which software are you talking about on the windows machine. Do you have a vaild ip address?
