RH8.0 gateway setup issue's

I went out and purchased the RH 8.0 for dummies (I know what I am), so it can help me setup a RH8.0 gateway.
Problem is.. its not working..
here is what I have.
A RH8.0 box with two network cards, one hooked to the hub (read : LAN) ETH1 and the other hooked to the ADSL modem ETH0.

from the LAN I can ping 192.168.100.1 (ETH1 address) and I can ping 202.72.178.XXX (the address that ETH0 {read PPP0} obtains when it connects up). But I cannot ping outside of my network.

From the RH8.0 box I can ping the Internet AND the internal network.

IP forwarding IS enabled in the /etc/sysctl.conf

its pretty much a bog standard "Server" install, no kernel hacks or anything fancy.

Any ideas guys? I know its got to be something simple and obvious..

you've not actually set up any ip forwarding i take it? personally i jsut use Firestarter to enable ip forwarding whilst buidling a firewall. check http://tldp.org/HOWTO/IP-Masquerade-HOWTO for the gubbins that you could do yourself.

Umm.. I was under the impression that if you enabled it.. all was cool..
Hmm firestarter? Is that an add-in app / script builder type program?

you have to enable "it", but "it" still needs to be told what to do.
