Hi all,

I'm pretty much a newbie to linux so bare with me.

The Server setup is:-

RedHat 7
Eth0 - realtek 8139 - 192.168.1.1
Eth1 - realtel 8139 - Pump (Cable Modem)
IP MASQ
Samba
DHCPD

The Server was running excellent UNTIL I removed Sendmail
(cos i dont use an email server) the command was "rpm -e sendmail". Now i cant see my server on the client machines in Network Neighborhood one cannot logon to the server. But yet when I type "samba status " it states that it is running. identd, Lpd & atd fail on bootup. What is happening, its way to much for me.

I think it may be something to do with identd because I have read that identd is not installed in redhat 7, it has been replaced by xinetd which is working. Identd & Xinetd are both installed on my server.

Thanks in Advance
