RedHat 7.2 to recognize en1207d NIC

Hey guys,

I just installed RedHat 7.2 on my HP 8750 w/ XP....using a boot disk to load RedHat.

ANYWAY, I can't get it to recognize my NIC (en1207d)...I've tried everything. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE???

I usually use KDE if that matters.

THanks -Clint

Please don't post you question in more than one forum. It makes it harder for us to help you, because it forces us to to track two or more concurrent threads.

WTF? My submission generated this duplicate post, but I can't delete it- it complains that I don't have permission to do that. Obviuously, I can edit it...

Narf!

try this url's

Hi,

Well do u have the drivers for the card ? i assume u dont .
Follow the below mentioned link and download the module file.

ftp://hp-linux.cern.ch/hp-linux/hp1207d.c

u might have to compile this into a object file and then do "insmod" to load the module.

Here are alternative URL's :

or goto WWW.ACTON.COM and search for EN1207D-TX LINUX

( if u could i would suggest u to switch over to RedHat 7.1 or above since it gets recognized immediately !!)

See the modules section of the Kernel HOWTO for more information about compiling and loading modules. Note that some modules require load-time parameters be passed to them for configuration of I/O ports and interrupts, etc

in case u have the drivers but still facing problems then please give the errors messages and the steps u took to rectify the problem.

regards,
xanthium.
