Cool recive email from hotmail or etc via kmail


hello

how can i recive mail from hotmail and etc via kmail

i am behind a proxy and a port

As far as I know you can not receive your hotmail messages with kmail or thunderbird, I believe the only one that dows this is outlook.

You need a program called hotwayd (or similar). This acts as a mail server between hotmail and your client. It will pull the hotmail down and pass it to your client, I have used it and can confirm it works.

AMSN at least allerts you about any new hotmail messages.

But it's better to get hotwayd and now also smtpwayd (or something like that) for the outgoing messages. I hate Hotmail with a passion but I can't convince some people to stop sending there so I learned to really appreciate hotwayd. Check it out!
