Hello everyone

I'm new to linux and learning fast.

I have an office lan which is setup on win xp pro OS using DSL connectivity.Rest of the pcs are assigned ips by DHCP and they utilize the internet and lan that way

PROBLEM:
How can i put my linux pc on the internet while i have win xp pro server and also utilize my local lan as in windows(file printer sharing)

I use red hat 8.O pro.

My pc is running multi os..win xp pro and linux

once i'm comfortable in linux i'm gonna get rid of windows server hopefully

To configure your network settings for DHCP just run:
netconfig

To use windows file and print sharing you need to install and configure samba. For commands used in the samba config:
man smb.conf
