I have no idea what to do about this...
I know these things:

VPN-server: 10.20.30.42
Type: PPTP VPN
Encryption not required.
My username and password.

That's enough info to get the net working in windows XP, but is it enough for linux? Do i need to know something else too?

Would be thankful for some help :)
Ps. My english sux, i know.

I would say that possibly your authentication info is incorrect - but I would hope it would explicitly tell you that.
It seems as though you can't create the IKE tunnel - which could be a billion things.
Are you using a client? Or just ppp0?

I am using the pptp client, version 1.6.0.

I have messed around the whole day with this whitout any results
A friend of mine lived in one of these apartments about a year ago, and he got the net running under mandrake without any problems... he used some kind of graphical configurationtool to set it up i think, but that's mandrake, i don't think slackware has the same graphical tools, right?
