problems with in.talkd with debian testing

hi there, i was looking for some information abbout how to get talkd (in.talkd) to work.

when i run /usr/sbin/in.talkd i get this error:

Socket operation on non-socket

what could this mean? do i have to cofigure something to work? if i do apt-get install talkd it says: talkd is allready installed in the newest version
