problem sharing a Dell printer???

I setup the printer connected directly via usb to one of the Dell PC with XP. The printer is Dell. But the wireless desktop which is an old HP with XP on it cannot find the the printer. I run the Add printer wizard but it cannot connect to the printer. I get an error message saying it cannot connect to the printer. I disabled the windows firewall on both computers. The DSL modem is 2wire and there is a netgear router connected as well. The Dell PC has Norton Internet Security which I tried to disable, but it says that I don't have administrative privileges. I am at a loss. This is suppose to be very easy task. I have done it bunch of times. Is is because the printer is Dell and the wireless desktop PC that is going to share the printer is HP? I am very frustrated.

thanks

So load the Windows driver for the printer on the HP computer and share the printer on Dell system. This is a Windows problem and not a Linux problem since both systems are Windows XP. The fact that one is wireless and an HP system has nothing to do with it at all. The Norton Internet Security Suite might be a problem however, you may have luck removing it but I doubt you will be able to remove it completely.

No biggie, I was just pointing out what and what not to worry about.
