prism2_cs


Hello
ive seen some things about linux-wlan-ng prism2_cs and im wondering if this is a universal driver? I need to know because Airfart (wireless network sniffer) requires it... do tell... doo tell

Not universal no, just for Intersil Prism chipsets...

so from the research ive done and the info ive gathered... my card vendor is TI, its made by Lucent Tech, the current driver is the orinoco_cs... and that it does support prism2 or whatever... but i cant seem to get it installed correctly... i cant get anything to install correctly for that matter.

what are the benefits from the prism2 driver?

Well, the driver is right in the kernel for one, so no patching is required, and it supports monitor mode for sniffing, ie: use with kismet...
