Printing from FC5 to Win2000

Dear members:

I'm a complete newbie. I'm having problems printing from FC5 to my HP2100 laser jet printer attached to a Win2000 machine. This is what I've tried:

I go to system->administration->server settings->samba. I type in the root password. I click on preferences->samba users...->add users. For unix name and samba password, I enter the respective name and password for my regular account that I use to login linux at startup. For the windows username, I entered: administrator. I click Ok and closed, all the way out. I edit the smb.conf a little. Then I log in as root and do the command:testparm /etc/samba/smb.conf

I get the output:
Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
Processing section "[printers]"
WARNING: [printers] service MUST be printable!
Loaded services file OK.
Server role: ROLE_STANDALONE
Press enter to see a dump of your service definitions

[global]
workgroup = HSRLCETGP
server string = Samba Server
max log size = 50
printcap name = lpstat
os level = 0
preferred master = No
local master = No
domain master = No
cups options = raw

[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /usr/spool/samba
printable = Yes
browseable = No

I go to /etc/hosts and add the line: "10.10.10.90 hermes" (hermes is the netbios name of the win2000 machine)

I update all packages, restart the machine, and login again into the regular account. I note that I can access the share files on the windows 2000 machine. I also note that other win2000 machines can print to hermes. The bi-direction option in the printer properties on hermes is unchecked.

I open up the browser and go to the CUPS administration GUI. I then login, entering root as the user and the root password for the password. I click on add printer, and ask for a printer connected via SMB. In the URI, I type in smb://usernameassword@HERMES/HPLASERJ. (username and password substituted for privacy). I select the hp2100 series. It tells me that I've successfully added it. I try to print the test page, but I get "Error: Printer quota reached."

So I'm stuck. (I've actually tried many other methods, but this was the most direct route.)

Thank you for thoughts.

Question withdrawn

I apologize to all members. I think it might be a problem with the windows2000 server. I withdraw my question.
