PPTP problem, can't go to internet
I just install gentoo from scratch(I meant stage1 installation). I pretty much get most of the stuff working. except a few problem, one is the mplayer I got a workaround on that. Here is my real issue.
I have gentoo installed on my Fujistsu P-2040, crusoe CPU(a dead giveaway that reinstall everything isn't an option, it took me couple of day to compiled just to get the basic stuff working) I got kernel 2.6.4 installed, hand picked everything. I have a wifi setup at home, the AP is connected to my win2K machine, running M$ VPN server, which then connected to a DSL router(NAT). And I have the ppp+pptpclient installed, so I don't have to stuck with the cripple RC4 for WEP. I got the pptp-command working, authenticated, and connected. Still have to do some touch up on the resolv.conf, but I got it working, kinda. I can ping any host, including the internet hosts. I can do smb, webmail, everything inside my own network. But, it won't reach the net. I can't surf, or ftp, etc to the outside. Still I can ping them. This problem doesn't occur if I connected through ethernet without the VPN. Also, on the same notebook, I can booted to WinXP, and goto internet just fine on the wifi+VPN setting. So I'm not every sure, what the problem is. BTW, I didn't have ipchain or iptable installed yet. So, it can't be a firewall setting on the linux. Any thought, guys???
