Port Forwarding for Linux Server
Hello everyone,
This is how my home network works:
I have a gateway PC running Windows XP that has two ethernet cards installed. One faces the internet and the other card faces the home network (this one's IP is always 192.168.0.1). From there, other PCs running both Windows and Linux are connected to the gateway through a series of ethernet switches.
My question:
On one of the PCs running Linux I am running a web server on port 80, however, I can't access it from anywhere outside my home network. I tried making an exception in the gateway's firewall (Windows Firewall on XP SP2) and adding a service to the ethernet card facing the network that uses the hostname of my server, internal port 80 and external port 80, but with no luck. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong/What I forgot to do/What I should be doing/Any other useful info?
Thanks in advance,
Nir
