Unhappy Port 25 inaccessible remotely

I am running Mandrake 9.2. I have postfix and vm-pop3d running. From the my Linux machine I am able to connect via telnet on port 25. However, I am unable to connect remotely via telnet on port 25 to my Linux machine from other computers on my network. Therefore, I am unable to send/receive internet e-mail. How do I fix this problem?

Do you have any firewall installed ? is it blocking that port ?

you can also check your /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny
