Hi Everyone ,

I have a linux build with kernel 2.4.21 (RedHat Enterprise) . I cannot get my Ibm tokenring card to work on this. When i look into /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-x.x/drivers/net/pcmcia/ibmtr_cs.c" . So apparently i have the C file and i need to create a module ibmtr_cs.o from this. I did try to create a module with make xconfig , (chose the ibmtr driver as a module ) , make dep, and then make modules and make modules_install . Some how i cannot get it to work . I am newbie to linux and would really love any help at all.
I also downloaded the latest pcmcia-cs-3.2.5.tar.gz and got unresolved symbol CardServices_Rdb348cd2 etc , hint : no GPL compatible licence and it has unresolved symbols.

I have the same problem with 3com PCcard 3c574_cs . Other ethernet cards seem to work. But i really need the token ring to work .

Can some one tell me where i am going wrong, i have spent a lot of time with this and am at the point of going crazy ,

thanks much
