No internet connection in Red Hat


My connection works fine in XP, Mandrake 10, and Kanotix, but when I try to establish it in red hat I cannot get it to work. I use a DSL connection through a ethernet port and do not know how to configure it. I tried everything I knnow to get it to work. I am not familiar with red hat and would like to get the internet working first. Any help appreciated.

Do you use static IP addresses or dhcp? Can you post the output from:
ifconfig
route -n
cat /etc/resolv.conf

ifconfig gives:

route -n gives:

Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref

Use Iface

with nothing under or after the titles.

cat /etc/reslove.conf gives nothing. I looked at this file and there is nothing in it.

I did these thing in Kanotix and got completely different outputs:

cat /etc/resolv.conf:

and internet works fine there and in Mandrake OS.
