Red Hat 9 internet connection

i have red hat 9 and i want to install the internet but i have a cable modem and motorola is not supported and i dont know how to update it any ideas.

First... You need to provide more info to get any help.

Your cable modem matters not if it is connected through the NIC (network card)
If it is connected through the USB it gets a little hairy.

Also read the other posts in this forums where you will find useful information in how to find the problem.

lol beat me to it. sounds like your worried about compatability with your cable modem when you needn't be. go to the h.c.l (on the upper right of the screen) and look up your network card. motorola isn't the most popular of network cards, and with so little info, i can only assume that motorola is the cable modem, not your NIC. redhad 9 picked up NIC's in my laptop and desktop without a hitch, desktop is a linksys, and the laptop is alienware integrated 10/100. all i did is plug in the ol' cat 5 and away i went.

my network card is a NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter and a Net Adapter 1394

i didnt think the cable modem but heres the problem i have a belkin wireless network set up now i could go to non-wireless thats why i asked about the network adapter but redhat doesnt have my drivers and i also dont know how to install a wireless
