network printer with xp drivers only can i print from a linux pc ?

hi everyone
since i only have 2 hours experience on linux i need a lot af help. i have a small network of 5 pc's runing xp and 2 printers conected to the switch and i use them as network printers with static ip adress. surprising how easy for a beginer i instaled suse 9 on a pc, i found very quicly my network conections and i did surfing on the internet with no problem. one thing that i can't do is print on these printers. the printers do not have drivers for linux so call me idiot but is there anyway that i can use them, also if yes can i use other devices that work the same way ( on anothr pc runing win ?)
thank you

just for the fun of it, can you tell us the printer make/model
these things usually help with hardware issues.

Here is some stuff for the 2210:
http://www.linuxprinting.org/piperma...q4/000024.html

And the other:
www.ricoh.com
Find the software downloads link, then choose the Unix option.
The only problem i see is that Ricoh is one of those retarded companies that wants your life story entered so you can download a driver. SUSE isn't mentioned but if you can get a red hat driver you will most likely be able to get it to work with SUSE.

let me know how it goes.

Cool i need aspirins........

i manage to download the drivers for minolta with no problem and after a few hours from gestetner site drivers for this printer as well. probably i do something wrong but i didn't make it work. so if you have some time check it.i use my language so mabe some of the menu names i translate them different but i supose u'll have the experience to understant. i go to control center, i choose pheripherials, printers, and i login as a root user, after this i ask instal printer and from the menus that i get i tryed everything ( i thing ). the only option that gives me a few more steps to go is when i choose network printer and serch so the system finds only the gestetner printer with the right ip adress, after that i try to select the driver from the files i downloaded but i have all the time the mesage wrong driver. so probably the driver for the red hat is not working with suse or ????
as about the minolta even when i give on the menu the ip of the printer the system donot find any printer at this adress. in xp i install the minolta as a local printer but before that i have "crown port manager " instaled that gives me the ability to give an ip adress i'll check if the same program exists for linux but for the momment i'll go get my self some aspirins

thank's for your time anyway
