need help with ip forwarding in suse 9.2

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with IP forwarding on my new SuSE 9.2 installation (clean, not an upgrade). I want to be able to access internet from my iBook connected to the SuSE machine via LAN -- any LAN access from iBook to PC and vice versa works fine. I'm on a phone line and use smpppd/kinternet combo to dial-in, so I have set up network connections in the YaST control center to activate SuSEfirewall scripts and do NAT when ppp0 is brought up, eth0 being the internal interface and ppp0 being the external.

When I dial-in and look at /var/log/messages, it says

Code:
WARNING: Error inserting ipfwadm (/lib/modules/2.6.8-24-default/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ipfwadm.ko): Device or resource busy
right after SuSEfirewall is restarted with the new rules. So the forwarding doesn't work.

I haven't experienced this kind of problem with SuSE 9.0 I was previously using and I'm not to good solving networking issues... 'cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward' gives 1. I also tried to google for solution, but didn't find anything particularly useful yet.

Any ideas will be very appreciated.
