I've been using PCLOS 2009.1 on my laptop for many years now.
I recently installed PCLOS 2010 KDE in it's place on my HDD.
I really didn't care for that version (too much BS installed)
so I went back to 2009.1 again.
I know that I have to install a Win driver so I went thru the
procedure. Now I'm getting error messages when I try to install
the driver: "Cannot find the ndiswrapper interface !" I've
installed this driver many times but never had any problems
before.
I've checked the Blacklist but found nothing there. Then I
checked ndiswrapper to make sure the driver had been installed-
and it was.
At this point, I don't know why this should be occuring now.
I also considered that maybe a virus had gotten on my laptop
but we all know how unlikely that is !
If anyone can shed some light on why this would be happening
I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks in advance !!
Have you checked the lsmod output to see if ndiswrapper itself is loading? Or perhaps there is a driver conflict if a native Linux driver is also loading?
I checked the results of lsmod but I did not see any output
with ndiswrapper listed. I did notice that the drivers for
the rt73 were loaded and it is working right now - that's
how I'm getting online. But I wanted to use the built in
card on my laptop.

Uh, how many cards are we talking about here? At this point I'm highly confused about what is going on. It might be worthwhile detailing the hardware we're talking about.
HOW did you install 2009-version (i.e. a update of the 2007 one) again and updated it...??????
=> with the frozen kde3-repo from one of the PCLOS-forum-members???
: because the actual repo's gives CONFLICTS and PROBLEMS with an older install (you had to do a fresh install to stay up-to-date with the current 2010 updates (this was needed because there were a lot of changes, from now on, it's again a rolling-release distro for many years!!!)....
(read it on the PCLinuxOS forum)
And what didn't you like about PCLinuxOS 2010 (my English is bad)?
=> you have the normal-KDE version, the MiniME-KDE (with only the needed apps), Gnome, ZEN-gnome, LXDE, ......
