Dear All


We have just migrated from windows based Proxy server to squid on RH 7.2 in our organisation, Which is catering internet services to 1000+ users. There is no problem as far as surfing on any site is concerned. Even Yahoo Messenger is getting Connected without any problem.

Problem is that which my users are not able to connect MSN Messenger.

Can anybody guide me that what changes are required to be made in Squid.conf or which port is to be opened at firewall for MSN Messenger to work properly.

My Users have made my life misrable for MSN, Kindly Help.

make sure your firewall rules allow outgoing connections to
messenger.hotmail.com
on port 1836

if possible configure the msn messenger to use the proxy server.
