Ok, i have read many posts pertaining to using msn internet access on linux. I used msn on linux before and had no problems with it at all. Lucky for me a family member who pays for the access did something very odd. She always started her msn on her windows machine and saw two signin accounts (her "janedoe@msn.com" one and her old email "Janedoe@hotmail.com") and for some reason wanted to have only the account she used for her email to show up. She called up msn and asked if she can sign in using her hotmail and still have internet access. The msn tech told her to "ctrl - alt - f11 so she can re-setup her account. when she set up her account this time she was told she would have to put
Janedoe@hotmail.com instead of
janedoe@msn.com into the prompt plus her password. anyhow when i went to change my setting i had never ran into this situation. I cant do the "MSN/Janedoe" thing. I assume i need to use a different beginning like "HOT/janedoe" but it doesn't work either. Has anyone run into this problem? Better yet.... does anyone have any idea what i just said? Good luck figuring it out. I am still trying too.
