I'd like to start off by thanking everyone on the forum. Without your
questions and more importantly answers I wouldn't have gotten
as far as I have.
Here is my problem:
Samba server running on Redhat.
WinXP client can access the server and shares.
New Mandrake 9.1 machine just added.
All machines can ping one another by ip & name.
All machines have access through the Redhat (Samba) firewall.
Mandrake machine:
Added to the Samba
Checked via "testparm smb.conf mandrake 198.168.*.*"
Added to same Group as Redhat & WinXp
Nmblookup works from both the client & server
When I try to access the share at terminal I get prompted for
password, but get the following statement
"session failed: NT_STATUS_LOGAN_FAILURE" after enter the password.
LinNeighborhood only shows the localhost. No other workgroups are viewable.
I have a feeling that it maybe on the client side, but can't determine why.
Your help is greatly appreciate.
Once again thanks for all the help that you have provide via the forums. Great community support.
