I recently installed Mandrake 9.0 ,all works ok including internet connection via modem. Later I configured my nic and can now reach other boxes on my network, but now when I try to connect to the internet there are problems. KPPP works ok, the connection is made but my browser or mail programs cannot find the internet.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks for your help.
It must think your connection to the internet is now going through the nic, go ahead and dial-up and then open Mandrake Control Center/Network & Internet, you should be able to fix things from there.
Giving a better explanation of all this: Probably one of your boxes is making you machine try to reach the internet through it but it isn't configured properly. So, you need to make suure that your connection goes through the ppp connection. As everybody said, take a look at mandrake center. You'll be able to fix it from there.
