Network in Mandrake

I don't get my network card working in mandrake.

have two cards... and in the boot it types "bringing up interface for eth0" and stands still a long time, then I get forward.

what's wrong ?

mby take out one card ? but I want to have them both beause I want to share my internet connection.

I have try with Red Hat and Slackware to, same problem.

Do you get an error message about Eth0? If not, do you use dhcp? If so, that probably explains the wait. I used to use dhcp behind my router, but after assigning static addresses on my network, Eth0 comes up far more quickly.

The message eth0 is too general. First what is the make and model of the NICs.

If you don't list your hardware, people will not help you.
