Hi
We need an open source mail server which includes SMTP,IMAP or POP3 working on Linux platform. We tried to install Courier mail server but the documentation was low and we had some problems which we could not overcome.Could you advice us an easy-to-install&configure open source mail server which we can use to create email accounts for our website members?Thank u
mail servers do not do all of these things in the main. there are exchange-u-like systems like zimbra, but in general your smtp will be very much seperate to your pop3 / imap connectivity as they really have next to nothign in common. i recommend postifx for smtp, dovecot for pop3/imap.
Thanks, your advice helped us a lotIn addition we had planned to use "inn" as our NNTP server(our system should support several protocols) but it is again difficult to configure(we are all newbies on network).Would u suggest us an secure ,easy-to-use NNTP server working on Linux which does not use a database(a file system would be better)?
