Linux Network Printer

Hi everyone,

I have a redhat enterprise server running, and recently hooked up a HP Designjet Color Pro CAD. I used SAMBA and CUPS to configure this printer in the network and all seemed to work fine (HP DesignJet ColorPro CAD Foomatic/gimp-print-ijs).

I can print from my XP laptop to my printer. Text, PDF no problem, but when I try to print a photo (viaPhotoshop, or windows) it sends the command to my printer, I see it listed (1kb??) and it will report completed without printing anything.

Any help is appreciated. I googled all I could.

Hi seabird, Welcome to lq. I'd try the hpijs drivers, or at least gutenprint in favor of gimprint. Have a look at this.

Good luck. ;-)
